J. Gordon Electronic Design has developed a complete line of industrial grade, distributed, intelligent I/O modules utilizing LonWorks technology. The products include digital and analog I/O with both isolated and non-isolated versions. Human interface and network support products are also included.
Discrete and analog versions of intelligent I/O modules provide distributed remote monitoring of sensors and control of actuators using LonWorks technology. I/O modules include digital logic and analog alarm functions.
Human interface products include display and keypad functions as another node on the LonWorks network. One model includes a battery backed real time clock, battery backed RAM, and auxiliary I/O capacity.
Serial gateway products provide interfaces between the LonWorks networks and devices such as dial-up modems, printers, and various proprietary devices employing their own proprietary serial protocol.
J. Gordon Electronic Design has developed a complete line of industrial grade distributed intelligent I/O modules. There are digital and analog versions, and both isolated and non-isolated versions. For example, one module provides two independently isolated channels of 0-10V or 4-20mA analog input with 14-bit resolution and 250Vrms isolation. The same designs could be used to provide higher isolation levels simply by greater component spacing in the circuit board layout.
Another product we developed includes a multi-function interface with keypad and LCD display support, a battery backed real time clock, an asynchronous serial channel with EIA-232 and EIA-485 transceivers, and auxiliary I/O points. All of these capabilities are hosted by a LonWorks Neuron Chip, making this a universal operator interface panel for networked distributed control applications. |
