J. Gordon Electronic Design developed an entire line of products that are compatible with an older widely used protocol so large existing systems may be upgraded without completely replacing the entire system.
The new access control system provides economical upgrade compatible with widely used older technology and protocol. The new design introduces distributed control in a previously centralized function
The access control system can be expanded to provide monitoring of burglar and fire alarms, and provide control functions for automatic response to alarms 
The new system moves away from centralized control toward distributed control for better performance, faster response, and higher reliability.
Products include access control modules compatible with a variety of card reader technologies, monitoring modules for interface to smoke, fire, and burglar alarms, and distributed control panels with a locally managed database of card holders and transaction records.
The system may be monitored and controlled by security officers at multiple locations via a Windows based front end and distributed data base.
Recent enhancements include camera control and video surveillance coordinated with a digital image database for maximum security. |
